Public accounting is Susan Lemkin’s second career. She earned her bachelor’s degree in biology from Cornell University, working as a scientist until the birth of her first child. When her children were school age, she enrolled in accounting courses to earn sufficient credits to sit for the CPA exam. Susan was an Elijah Watts Sells award winner when she sat for and passed the uniform CPA exam in 1983.
Susan has developed a practice among professional service firms and high net worth individuals. She combines strong technical skills with exceptional service in her professional relationships. She is well known in professional communities throughout the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan area, and has a loyal following of long-standing clients.

Susan is a former member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (tax division), the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants and the D.C. Estate Planning Council. Susan lives in Washington, D.C. Away from the office Susan enjoys visiting with her two sons and their families…especially her grandchildren.
